SIXTEEN TONS

There's nothing quite like the smell of coal dust, sweat, and fear to make you really enjoy singing bass am I right?

Sixteen Tons, is one of those songs I'd sung to over and over again a million years ago and then thought that I'd put away forever. But I should have known better, because in the age of the internet, nothing is really ever gone... it just takes a brief vacation and then comes back with a HEY THERE REMEMBER ME!?

Yup, I sure do. I missed you, too.

I was amused to see more and more people on the ol’ internets ask me to sing “Sixteen Tons” and the more I thought about it, the more sense it made. I mean, who better to breathe life into one of the most classically manly songs ever written than a long haired, androgynous, skinny,  girlie man like yours truly.

So I rolled up my sleeves, gathered my oldest, rustiest, pick axes, and got to work. I hope you enjoy the results of the effort.
